Japanese blessing for food. Learning from different cultures bring a fabulousness to food fusion. Mindful preparation and presentation with delicious results.

Meeting Place

The indigenous have enriched our understanding of community and cultural. This represents a meeting place. Meeting of minds, voices and hearts and of course around the fire (or tables) where stories can be told, history recorded and people find their voice.

Italian have such passion and communicate Love so well! Love of family, friends, food, wine and the joy of bringing all of those together around a table.

Mad as a Hatter

Describes somes prone to unpredictable behaviour. How wonderful to be unpredictable in the kitchen. Try new things and recreate old things with a twist.

Shine Bright

Be adventurous there is no wrong way of doing something. It is merely a longer learning path. I've find when I do something 'wrong' my a mistake that can be the beginning of some extraordinary.

Yesteryear Grace

The shape of curves and the grace of suggestion, yesterday's bathers and gowns. There is something to consider with fashion trends. Stay true to your own style, love those curves and compete and compare only with yourself. Eat not for comfort but hungry and pleasure. Love yourself.

Sun filled days

Nature has a way of being reassuring. Each day the sun comes up and a new day is upon us. With this comes new opportunities. Don't let an even pass without telling someone you love why you love them and what it is you love about them. We are not mind readers. We are vulnerable people with feelings thoughts and emotions.

Corner Stone

I remember a bag of lollies for 5c. The store owner knew your name, knew your favourite treat. They paid attention to your mood, giving a gentle smile or a joke to lift a heavy heart. You in turn would always do the same. The corner store was the heart of a small community.

Laugh out Loud

humour is the best medicine. Laugh loud and laugh long from deep within your belly. Trust your gut it is it is where you will find your knowingness, your truth, your inspiration, your intuition. What better place to be looking for your gut feelings, than in the kitchen.

Blacken Dot

Some see the world in black and white. I find fun within the grey. There is more than one way for everything. There is more than one way to make a carrot or chocolate cake. Bring it on I'll try it all. Remain curious for life and cooking.

Dads Girls

25 years ago my dad bought me this fabric. I wear my apron and think of that unique gift and the thoughtfulness of it. My dads favourite meal is roast duck. I share the remaining fabric as a reminder, call your dad, talk to him, have him over for his favourite meal. Our parents won't always be with us. Gratitude, for all you have done.
